The aim of this project is to develop a set of free collection of fonts, covering the ISO 10646 UCS (Universal Character Set)/Unicode character set.
In the current phase, a set of bitmapped fonts for the X Window System is released, based on public domain fonts released in the early nineties by the ETL, Tsukuba, Japan for the Emacs MULE project.
